"It is like a dejarik board where neither player can see the other... nor all the pieces. It is not a fair game - an equitable game."

The Dark Wars (39553951 BBY) were conflicts that stemmed from the defeat of Darth Malak's Sith Empire at the end of the Jedi Civil War. The First Jedi Purge and the Sith Civil War were two of these conflicts.[1]

History[]

The Dark Wars began after the defeat of the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Malak[1] on the Star Forge.[4] After the battle, many Sith Lords took what was left of Darth Malak's Sith Empire and made smaller Sith empires. By 3954 BBY, Darth Traya, Darth Nihilus, and Darth Sion had established the Sith Triumvirate and quickly took control of the many Sith empires, establishing a unified Sith Empire once more. Under the Sith Triumvirate's leadership, the Sith Empire began the First Jedi Purge, killing most of the Jedi. In 3951 BBY, the Jedi Meetra Surik killed Darth Nihilus in the Battle of Telos IV. Later that year, she killed Darth Sion and Darth Traya in the Battle of Malachor.[1] Soon afterwards, what remained of the Sith Empire fell apart. By 3950 BBY, the entire Sith Empire had been destroyed and its territory had returned to the Galactic Republic.[2]
