Classic Star Wars 20 is the twentieth issue of the Classic Star Wars series, published by Dark Horse Comics. It is the final issue of the primary series, though other series were issued under the Classic banner.

This particular Classic series were reformatted and colored reprints of the Star Wars daily newspaper strip by Archie Goodwin and Al Williamson from the early 1980s.

Williamson supplied new panels and art to flow the stories for traditional comic format.

Publisher's summary[]

Developments in our favorite far-away galaxy a long time ago are winding their way rapidly to the point at which the events of the movie The Empire Strikes Back begin – with the Rebels engaged in battle with Empire forces on the ice planet Hoth. But before that, our Rebel heroes will have to face a regular rogues' gallery of Star Wars rapscallions and wretches – Darth Vader, Raskar, Skorr, and even that most nefarious of bounty hunters... Boba Fett! This wonderfully received reprint series comes to a climactic conclusion with a special 48-page issue featuring Al Williamson's original newspaper strip art, new never-before-seen Al Williamson Star Wars art, and, of course, a brand new Al Williamson cover! Who could ask for more!

WHAT HAS COME BEFORE
The strange ship that's followed
the Millennium Falcon to Hoth
turns out to be hostile, as it fires a
warning shot across the Falcon's
bow. Luke convinces Han that the best
solution is to surrender. The unidentified
ship uses a tractor beam to bring the
Falcon and its crew on board, as a coded
message is sent from the ship to Jabba the
Hutt on Tatooine. It turns out to be Raskar
onboard, and Han and Luke are soon disarmed as
Raskar offers Han a deal: his freedom for a better
price than Jabba's bounty. Luke suggests giving up the
reward from Leia, which they try to convince Raskar is
hidden on Ord Mantell. Raskar, however, thinks it's
actually hidden on Hoth. He forces the Rebels to lead him
back to Hoth in the Falcon. Once there, Han pilots the Falcon
into a labyrinth of ravines, and manages to stall it out and
crash land in the snow. Luke offers an escape plan: dig through
one of the cavern walls - right into a series of even larger
caverns.
