During the early Imperial Era, the Eleventh Brother attacked a farm village in response to a report of a Jedi sighting. The Jedi in question, former Padawan Ahsoka Tano, had been living and working as "Ashla" in the village. Tano had hidden her true identity until she used her Force powers to save another worker from being crushed by falling hay bales. Despite her effort to be covert, the woman Tano saved noticed and, grateful, approached Tano that night and promised to keep her secret, despite Tano's denials. However, the worker's brother, who supported the Galactic Empire, overheard the conversation. Hoping to be rewarded for his loyalty, while his sister and Tano were away the next day delivering the harvest, he reported Tano to the Empire.[2]
The Eleventh Brother arrived at the village and, finding no Jedi present, destroyed the settlement, killing all of its inhabitants save for the brother and an old man, believing the brother had lied to him. Tano and the sister arrived to find the village in flames, and despite what he had done, Tano saved the brother from the lethal "reward" the Inquisitor attempted to give him before facing the dark sider herself. The Inquisitor recognized Tano, commenting that she was supposedly dead and that he would be rewarded for killing her. However, Tano was able to quickly disarm the Inquisitor, before killing him with his own lightsaber. In the aftermath, Tano used a comlink she had been given by Alderaanian Senator Bail Organa to call for a lift for herself and the survivors, so they could start a new life elsewhere while she took up Organa's offer to join the fight against the Empire.[2]

Notes and references[]
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 Ahsoka establishes that the Sixth Brother was the first Inquisitor Ahsoka Tano ever encountered. As such, the events of "Resolve" must occur after those of Ahsoka because it features Tano battling the Eleventh Brother. Ahsoka dates itself to be a year into the Imperial Era, which started in 19 BBY according Star Wars: Galactic Atlas. Thus, Ahsoka must have occurred in 18 BBY. Therefore, "Resolve" takes place during or after that year. It also takes place before Tano actively became part of the Rebellion by the events of "Out of Darkness," which The Official Star Wars Fact File Part 84 (5 BBY 27-30: Out of Darkness) dates to 5 BBY.
