Nevin[1] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing. It is a Scrapnik, an amalgamation of Badnik parts and it once served the Eggman Empire. It now resides on Scrapnik Island.[2]
Appearance[]
Nevin is a combination between a Buzz Bomber, a Crabmeat, a Dragonfly, a Jaws, and a Newtron. Its Newtron head is green in appearance with a sharp, orange colored parietal crest. Nevin's eyes are black with yellow sclera. Its bottom jaw is replaced with the bottom jaw of a standard Jaws, which is yellow in appearance. Nevin's hands are from a Crabmeat, which are two cable-like gray arms with large and round pincers on the end of each arm. It has a long yellow and blue segmented abdomen with spikes from a Dragonfly and has the light gray wings of a Buzz Bomber.
History[]
Past[]
After being discarded by Dr. Eggman, Nevin grouped up with its other fellow discarded Eggman robots and began a new civilization on the doctor's abandoned Death Egg with them. As a group, they collectively called themselves the "Scrapniks" and named their new home "Scrapnik Island". It was also one of the Scrapniks to greet Mecha Sonic Mark II to its new home.[3]
Scrapnik Island[]
Due to the Death Egg's faulty climate disruptor, it created a large storm and caused Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles "Tails" Prower to crash down with their Tornado onto Scrapnik Island. Nevin was one of the Scrapniks led by Mecha Sonic Mark II that followed Sonic to monitor him after he had woken up from being unconscious. By the time Sonic had run into Tails and received information him about the event, Nevin remained as one of the Scrapniks to formally greet the hedgehog.[2]
Personality[]
Nevin is a robot of free will and has quite a friendly personality, even with the fact that it is mute.[2]
Powers and abilities[]
Thanks to its Buzz Bomber wings, Nevin is capable of flight.[2] Due to its head being one of a Newtron, it can also shoot out energy balls out of its mouth.[4]
