History[]
Big's Big Adventure[]
Some time after the Eggman War, Big was led by Froggy to several locations. In Vista View, Big fished in the sewer system and greeted Sonic who ran through there. He next went to Riverside and fished there while also seeing Sonic battle the Death Crab. Following this, Big was led to Barricade Town. While he carried boxes looking for Froggy in the supply depot, he denied a "request" in wanting to have a battle with Rough and Tumble. Next, in Spiral Hill Village, Big took note of the Badnik invasion and called for Froggy. Somewhere outside of Windmill Village, Big lost track of Froggy. The cat managed to find his way to the Egg Fleet in the sky but did not find him. He also looked in one of Dr. Eggman's pyramid bases but had no luck there either. While backtracking through Barricade Town, he saw Rough and Tumble being broken out of jail by what he believed to be a magician. He moved and believed he saw Froggy inside a battleship, only to discover that it was only a Wisp. He nonetheless took a nap in the shuttle as it flew to Angel Island. Sometime after landing, Neo Metal Sonic used the Master Emerald to become Master Overlord, causing the island to fall. This subsequently made Big fall off of the island into the ocean, but he was able to stay afloat with his life preserver.[1]
About a week later, Big walked through Windmill Village again and saw Sonic fight Rough and Tumble. The cat journeyed through Frozen Peak and saw the "magician" performing his usual trick for Sonic and Silver, but found this boring. Later on, Big checked for Froggy in Echo Mine. Although he did not find him, he thought he heard the voices of Rough and Tumble. After checking all over the area, including the refuse pit, Big did not find them either and left. Big began worry about not finding Froggy. After walking through a thrashed Seaside City, he began to feel that the world was getting spooky and was terrified as he traveled through cities that were destroyed by the Metal Virus while looking for his friends. He soon thought that Froggy had gone to play with Cream in Floral Forest Village but found no one home. Big thus tried to find his other friends but could not find anyone. As he fished underneath the bridge in Sunset City, he took no notice of the Zombots that fell off of it after being rammed off the bridge by Shadow in a truck. Later hearing that Amy was apparently gathering everyone for a sleepover, Big made his way to Restoration HQ. When he tried to cut in front of the people getting scanned for infection, Big was stopped by Gemerl and sent to the back of the line, despite him not being sick, unwittingly allowing one of the infected Pine Grove refugees to gain entry into the HQ and infect the base. Big tried calling for Froggy, but did not find him and left the premises early. The cat went to a hill and looked to the stars, finding himself to be lonely and a little afraid. Knowing that Froggy was likely to be lonely and afraid as well, Big decided to keep looking.[1]
Finally, Big went to a place not far from Spiral Hill Village where he finally found Froggy by fishing for him. On their journey home together, they were surrounded by a group of Zombots, who attempted to infect them. Big faced the Zombots with his Fishing Rod. A little while into the battle, Froggy jumped on a Zombot, which made the cat think he wanted to help him. After Big tied the Zombots up, the duo managed to escape they and fled back to their home in the Mystic Ruins. Big was happy to be home after a long adventure and recounted it back to Froggy. Unfortunately for him, as Froggy had previously made contact with the Metal Virus, he transformed into a Zombot, and infected not only Big but the Mystic Ruins' flora.[1]
All or Nothing[]
After the Deadly Six had taken over Eggman's plans, Zavok used his powers to lead a large horde of Zombots to Angel Island, which included Big.[2] After the Faceship was effectively destroyed by Rouge, Zavok grew to a giant size to attack the survivors on Angel Island. From this, he grabbed a handful of Zombots, including Big, and threw them onto the island's surface to face the survivors there.[3] Big lurked toward Dr. Eggman until he received a hit from Amy with her hammer. However, this did not have much of an effect Big. Eggman then proceeded to kick Amy into Big so that she could get infected and he could make a quick getaway. Eventually, with the combined efforts of Super Sonic and Super Silver, they were able to warp the entirety of the Metal Virus away from the world and to the sun. This act turned Big back to normal, prompting Amy to hug him in joy. Big accepted the hug but was not aware of what had just transpired.[4]
Out of the Blue[]
Big reunited with Froggy on Angel Island. He soon saw Eggman flying off in the Restoration's Rescue Shuttle and pointed this out to Amy, Tails and Knuckles. Seeing that Froggy had jumped out of his hands, Big chased after him.[5] Some time later, Big was invited by Tangle to a party in Spiral Hill Village. There, he fished in the fountain. Suddenly, the group was alerted to a large crash in the town, revealed to be Eggman in a large mecha.[6] However, Big quickly forgot about Eggman's attack on Spiral Hill Village upon noticing that Froggy was gone, prompting him to begin looking for him again.[7]
Trial by Fire[]
Eventually, Big traveled to Forest Ridge Zone Campground, where he would fish in the nearby river.[8]
Winter Jam[]
Big was fishing with Froggy in Green Hill with Sonic's friends nearby. A Giant Chopper later ambushed them, swallowed them, and took them to an unknown location. Big lost Froggy during that time. They were let free in a TV set and Cubot announced to them that they were in Orbot and Cubot's "Winter Jam". Big found Froggy and the two did the challenges together. The first game was to create a scenery related to the holidays. Big tried to hang a tapestry with his fishing rod, but Sonic got hooked on it, causing him, Tails, and Big to get tangled up in some lights. In a post-game interview, Big said the important part was they had fun.
The next game was "Snowball Jam", where teams had to carry an Eggman Doll to the finish line safely, while avoiding snowballs from the other teams trying to destroy it. Seeing how dominant Omega was, Big surrendered. In the next interview, Big noticed something off about Froggy and asked if he was okay. The contestants went through several more games before they came to "Sculpt Jam", where the teams had to make ice sculptures. Big was holding Froggy when lasers shot out of his eyes to make a statue of Eggman. It was then revealed by Cubot that "Froggy" was actually a Badnik; the real Froggy escaped the Giant Chopper. Omega went into a frenzy and destroyed the arena, while Rouge stole the Chaos Emerald. The commotion caused Eggman to arrive at the scene and Cubot pressed a button that sent Sonic's friends out of arena and back to Green Hill. There, Big found the real Froggy. Artificial snow rained down on Green Hill and the lights that landed from the set on the hills. Everyone then went back to relaxing and playing; Big went ice fishing.[9]
Spring Broken![]
Big and Froggy would go to Spring Flower Festival, later on an incident would occur causing Vector to talk to big on a suspect that ran by with him explaining that he was looking for Froggy but was pushed out the way and saying how the suspect damaged the carousel, crashed into the dunk tank and knocked over snacks.[10]
Phantom Riders[]
Big would wander in Central City and watch the second race of Clean Sweepstakes.[11] Big would later on still be present in the city when the shuttle was set to crash into it.[12]
