A young man from another world where sorceresses pass their power down through the ages. Squall detests interacting with others, and often isolates himself. Regardless, he is a star pupil at Balamb Garden, a military academy founded for the purpose of training its students to shoulder the burdens of tomorrow. He also boasts of having passed the entrance exam required to join the elite mercenary force known as SeeD. The scar he bears on his face was the result of a blow from his classmate and rival during a training match.
Squall (5★) description
Squall is a summonable vision and optional playable character in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. He serves as a character representative from Final Fantasy VIII, and has been available for summoning since the event SeeD Field Exam (which originally ran in August 2018 in the Global version). Along with Rinoa, they are the first innate 7★ units to be released.
He has two variants: "Squall" and "Squall (WoFF)" from the Japan-only collaboration with World of Final Fantasy.
Squall[]
Squall is a 5-7★ Rare Summon, whose role is Physical Damage. His job is listed as SeeD. He has no innate element or status ailment resistances. His Trust Master reward is the Lion Heart, a two-handed greatsword with an Attack power of 150 which exclusively grants Squall the passive The Legendary Beast (fills Squall's LB gauge by 2 per turn). His Super Trust Master reward is the passive ability A Lion's Heart, which increases the equipped unit's LB damage by 55% and fills its LB gauge by 3 per turn.
His awakening materials are the following:
- 6★ - Rainbow Bloom x20, Prismatic Horn x10, Calamity Gem x10, Fairies' Writ x5, Divine Crystal x5
- 7★ - Squall's Prism x1

Lion Heart (エンドオブハート, Endo Obu Hāto?, lit. End of Heart) is Squall's Limit Burst. A damage-type ability, it is a 17-hit attack that deals partially-unmitigated physical damage to a single target, ignoring its DEF by 50%.

Lion Heart
Squall can equip the following weapon types: swords, great swords, guns and maces.
He can equip the following armor types: hats, helms, clothes, light armor and heavy armor.
He can equip accessories.
Eupping his Trust Master reward (the Lion Heart) or his Super Trust Master reward (the passive A Lion's Heart) will trigger his Trust ability "Sorceress' Knight", which auto-casts 'Sorceress' Knight' (mitigates magic damage taken by self by 10%) at the start of a battle, increases his LB gauge fill rate by 50% and his ATK by 30%.
