Speed Slash is a physical ability for Lightning in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. It is a unique version of the Attack ability that is exclusive to the Amazon Warrior garb. It allows Lightning to rapidly perform a series of slashes that chain into a longer combo.

Speed Slash Lv. 2 is automatically equipped as the locked ability for the Amazon Warrior garb, which is automatically obtained from the treasure cube on the Ark on Day 7.
Mechanics[]
When used, Lightning performs a quick slash on the selected target, dealing physical non-elemental damage. After attacking eight times with the ability, Speed Slash's ninth use will perform a combo finisher to deal extra damage to the target. The ability costs 10 ATB and can be used while airborne.
Speed Slash can be enhanced with En-spell effects. It will also transform into the status effect "Chaser" abilities when equipped with either the Brittle Bone and Bonecracker weapons.
Speed Slash has the following set stats and cannot be upgraded.
