[edit]From jog (“right, law”) with the suffix -ar, by mistaken rebracketing of the latter from words like vihar and agyar. (See also ivar and szivar coined with the same rebracketing.) Created by József Bajza during the Hungarian language reform, which took place in the 18th–19th centuries.
