Schismatrix: "sourced"?
[1] - You said, the article is not sourced. But its's about a book. There is no interpretion but summary. You cannot source a summary of a book because it is based on itself. --Cubefox (talk) 19:40, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
- Yes but the article should be more than just plot. And wikipedia is all about sourced material. My short hand comment should really have complained about the in-universe element of the article too. The leed is the only part of the article sourced and out-of-universe, more should be written in real world context. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 09:46, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

PJTF Welcome Template
Hello, Kevinalewis. There is now a template to be used for welcoming potential PJTF members! It is {{PJwel}}. When put as {{subst:PJwel}} on a user's talk page, it turns out as:
- Hello, Kevinalewis! I'd like to invite you to join the Percy Jackson task force! We (obviously) work on improving PJ articles and would appreciate your help. Cheers!
If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please visit the template's talk page. Thanks, Airplaneman talk 04:16, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
PJTF Stub Template
We now have our very won stub template! It's {{PJ-stub}}, which you can put on any PJ-related stub (there aren't any at the moment). Any input is welcome at the template's talk page. Regards, Airplaneman talk 00:14, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use Image:Camel bandpromo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Camel bandpromo.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Aspects (talk) 23:20, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
New Atlantis title change
Would you please explain why you changed the title of the New Atlantis article? I've explained my objections in the talk page. Thank you. JKeck (talk) 21:13, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- My apologies for the misplaced blame! Thanks for your help. JKeck (talk) 18:36, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
Nice work on the above! --Ludvikus (talk) 13:48, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
An article which you edited, is now up for deletion. You are welcome to comment there. Ikip (talk) 07:18, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
NowCommons: File:WarAndPeace.jpg
File:WarAndPeace.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:WarAndPeace.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:WarAndPeace.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 16:13, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

Napoleonic fiction work group
Could you take a look at this, I think a parallel task force should be created in WikiProject Novels, at least for the novels category which is pretty big Category:Napoleonic War novels. I would coordinate both, or do a consolidated page for both the task force and the working group.SADADS (talk) 06:54, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- I have been pressing for such a Military novels work group for some time. We have a similar crossover group/task force with the Australian WikiProject already. I would prefer a wider scope than just Napoleonic fiction, as there are plenty of other military novels, and other narrative fiction to bring in. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 09:29, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- Do you want me to start one? We can make all the working groups that cross over, cooperative....maybe.SADADS (talk) 14:17, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- What I would have thought best would be a Military fiction task force - that sits within either "Military History" or "Novels" and the other links through to it, as aforementioned Australian WikiProject literature one. Short answer is yes start work on one and I will see what I can do to help out. Is this sanctioned by the Milhist co-ords etc.! :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 14:24, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- The Napoleonic working group is and several administrators their don't think it should be more than a working group (and it covers more media genres, but less breadth of topics). I partially agree with their reasoning. I think WikiProject Novels is better suited for hosting a task force. I will make sure it gets linked all over the place in Military History and redirected and stuff. SADADS (talk) 20:16, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

- Page up here, could we get on to the Project template? How about this image for now: . Once I have that then we can start doing the 1.0 stuff, and organize books that are in the project, etc. SADADS (talk) 23:36, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry I meant talk page template. SADADS (talk) 16:35, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:UrsulaHegi StonesFromTheRiver.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:UrsulaHegi StonesFromTheRiver.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 08:20, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
Hi, I have a serious question about the plot outline of this novel you have written. You have written that : A few months after WWII, Miles Hammond is invited to the first meating of the Murder Club, in five years. As he arives, no one else is there, except Barbara Morell, and Professor Rigaud. With no one else, Rigaud tells the story of Fay Seton. Seton was a young girl, working the Brookes familly. She fell in love with Harry Brookes, and the two became engaged. But Harry's father, Howard, did not aprove. One day, he agreed to meet Fay in a tower, all that remained of a burned out chateau. A secure location, on a water front, it was the perfect place for such a meeting.
Now according to what you have written it is Rigaud who is telling the story about Fay Seton, OK ?
Next you write :Harry and Professor Rigaud left Howard alone at ten minutes untill four. When they returned, fifteen minutes later....
Now please tell me how does Rigaud himself become a character in the story he is telling someone...?
Kindly reply on my talk page. Thanks
WikiProject Novels newsletter
Hi Kevin. Not spoken to you in a long time, mainly due to the fact that I was moving into uni and so haven't had much time for Wikipedia. But things are settling down now, so I thought I'd start getting back into Wikipedia, and WikiProject Novels. My first thought was to revive the newsletter, so I was wondering if you'd like to read the December 2009 and suggest anything you think I've missed that needs included, before I send it out. Also, I hope you have a great Christmas & New Year. Regards, Alan16 (talk) 15:51, 16 December 2009 (UTC).

An idea...
Hi. I've just been editing some stuff around the project and having a look at some stuff, and after reading some of the comments on the last coordinator election I came across an idea somebody posted. What would you think about a member wide questionnaire about why they joined the project and how they think it could be improved? The basic idea I had was to send a note to all the members with all the questions on them and to give them a link to a page where they could post their responses. Could provide some interesting feedback. If you think the idea's good, any questions you could think off would be good. Also, sorry if I'm bugging you, got a bundle of energy at the moment! Regards, Alan16 (talk) 22:50, 17 December 2009 (UTC).
- Okay, so I know I am page snooping, but I thought this would be a good time to chime in. (I had a conversation with you not to long ago.)
- That sounds like a really good idea. I have noticed that the project pages are not very active and we don't get a whole lot of discussion going. We should do an ask around to see if people would be interested in helping support the project or if they are just signed up for the heck of it. (Like the energy Alan).
- Again, sorry for the intrusion on the talk page. SADADS (talk) 23:38, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
- Hey SADADS from what I can see you're as active as anyone on the problem so I doubt Kevin will mind you chiming in. If you've got any ideas for questions I'll start setting up tomorrow afternoon (my time - not sure where each of you are!). Regards, Alan16 (talk) 00:16, 18 December 2009 (UTC).
- I'm on EST (-5), in Washington, D.C area. Should be around on the internet, SADADS (talk) 00:38, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
- Sounds like a very good idea. Energy's good! :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 09:50, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
- Glad everyone likes the idea. I'll start on it in a few hours time, and I'll keep you both up to date with how it's going. Any questions you can both think of would be useful. Also, SADADS, I'm on Edinburgh so I'm 5 hours ahead of you. Regards, Alan16 (talk) 12:41, 18 December 2009 (UTC).

Military fiction tag on articles
We can add these with User:KingpinBot, after the template is fixed if you want. SADADS (talk) 21:27, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Hi, we definitely like to read the same books - we communicated over the Aubrey-Maturin series. Just wondered if you could take a look at this - I've written an expanded plot and would appreciate your giving it a once over for editing purposes. Ivankinsman (talk) 12:57, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
