Two pages for an art journal swap over on UKStampers....The theme for this book is Freedom.
The cityscape stamp is from Hero Arts, the rest is handcoloured papers and a very green parrot cut from The Cage Bird, a question and answer manual!

And....
Here's another one...... more my usual style methinks......
It's all bits and pieces from that ever expanding 'Bit Box'
There's a new challenge blog called Take a Word, which I haven't got around to entering as yet but this week's word is Home so I think this might be appropriate.

Do You...
Remember these........they bring back memories of gluing and sticking in Infants School, using last years Christmas cards and any old odds and ends you could find.
.. I thought I'd turn them into quick and easy little gifts. These K&Co pads and borders have been in the drawer for an age, the paper is self adhesive so that made things even quicker. So based on this I made these.

Roll Up......
all the fun of the fair......... Gothic Arches challenge is Jester, I know this isn't quite right but it's near enough.. and I love this little cat stamp, no doubt you've seen him before.
Stamps are a bit like clothes, you wear 20% of your clothes 80% of the time... I must have a clear out of both!
another favourite stamp is this banner from Hero Arts.

Inky!
It's been a while since I've been inky fingers...........and I've had this idea in my head for some time, ever since I bought this Sizzlits Stencil alphabet. I cut random bits of coloured card and used it to stencil letters with gesso onto hand painted papers....
I didn't like the result but did like the stencil bit with the gesso on!

So I spritzed with Adirondack colour washes and Glimmer Mists......It still needed something so I stamped with black Stazon ( Hero Arts stamps) and added text underneath... some plain and some coloured.

Home Sweet Home
New stamps.......... I love Hero Arts stamps... they give me my 'cute' fix without being yukky cute.
I wanted to make a house on wheels but it turned out a little different so I'm saving the wheel thing for later.

They were just stamped onto scraps (Tim Holtz) of paper, stuck to chipboard and mounted onto a base made from foam core board.
The bunting was cut out and hung from florists wire........ just love that stuff!
PS!... do you remember this little chap who was looking for a new home?........ well he'll be winging his way to Lullabelle who was the first name pulled out of the hat!
I think this will meet the theme for this weeks LTDO challenge which is architecture.

Quote?
I can't be the only one who doesn't get quotes.........I mean of the 'inspirational' kind, maybe I just have no 'soul' However I do like quirky odd quotes and I'm the owner of a very odd cat........ and yes she would!
LTDO have quotes as their theme this week. The bunting stamp is Hero Arts, the cat is Rusty Pickle and the flower and script are Paper Artsy.
