Pico is a minor character in Disney's 2021 animated feature film Encanto. He is a cheeky keel-billed toucan who is a friend of Antonio Madrigal.
Background[]
When Antonio first received his gift to communicate with animals, Pico became his first animal companion. The toucan thusly acts as the leader of Antonio's menagerie, and was responsible for inviting the rest of Encanto's wildlife into the Madrigal family.

During Antonio's ceremony, Pico is seen flying with a flock of toucans, into the Casa Madrigal and when Antonio receives his gift and understands Pico's squawking, he calls in a large number of exotic animals to meet up with Antonio, consisting of toucans, coatis, capybaras, tapirs, hummingbirds, and a jaguar just as Antonio enjoys his moment with his animal friends after receiving his gift. Pico is then seen dancing with everyone else celebrating Antonio's birthday just as Mirabel briefly interrupts the music to warn her grandmother about the Casa Madrigal losing its magic. Later the next day, Pico sits behind Antonio who tells Alma that he told the coatis to warm up her seat just before Mirabel tries to talk to Luisa about the magic fading away.
Upon entering Bruno's room, Pico follows alongside Mirabel who sees a lot of steps to help her to which Pico flies further than Mirabel to which she arrives at the area where Pico is at. Pico walks across a hall of Bruno sculptures carved on the walls to which just as Pico fears that he and Mirabel are facing danger at Bruno's room to which he suddenly flies away in fear just before Mirabel enters a hidden room where she finds magical shards part of Bruno's vision. Mirabel suddenly exits Bruno's room.
Later when the Guzmán family arrives at the Madrigal family's house and Mariano attempts to marry Isabela, a loud thunderclap from Pepa's cloud based on her emotion is heard as Pico reacts in fright, just as Dolores is worried that Mirabel found Bruno's vision, fearing that she will destroy the Casita and its magic, leaving the family doomed. As more cracks start appearing in the Casita, causing the wedding between Mariano and Isabela to be unsuccessful, Pico flies away in fear while Mirabel follows a group of rats carrying shards of Bruno's vision into a private area where she finally encounters Bruno. Later when Mirabel is having a private conversation with Bruno, Pico is seen telling a group of hummingbirds to escape. Later when the Casa Madrigal is collapsing, Pico and the rest of the exotic animals start rushing out of the house, causing Antonio to lose his gift. After the Casa Madrigal was rebuilt, two toucans are seen flying happily while Antonio riding Parce passes through with Pico following alongside him.

- Pico is Alan Tudyk's ninth consecutive role in the Disney Animated Canon.
- Despite having an official name, the credits simply list Pico as "Toucan".
- Pico's name translates to "beak" in Spanish.
