Alice in Wonderland books

This edition (featuring Robie Lester as narrator) is a re-packaged version of the 1951 Golden Book, "Alice in Wonderland Meets the White Rabbit". Because of this, this is the only Read-Along edition to include a page of the Jabberwocky (a character deleted from the film) with the Cheshire Cat. The songs are presented at the end of the read-along narration.

Though the re-arranged scenes remain the same from the previous 1968 edition, the text and narration is changed to better resemble the dialogue in the movie and would be used for future reprints. Character voices are also added, with Linda Gary voicing the Queen of Hearts (and replacing Robie Lester as narrator), Patricia Parris voicing Alice, Corey Burton voicing the White Rabbit and Mad Hatter, and Jymn Magon voicing Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum, and the Card Soldiers. Additionally, the page with the Jabberwocky is replaced with the lyrics to "The Unbirthday Song", while the final page which originally featured an illustration of Alice and the White Rabbit is replaced with the lyrics to "I'm Late". Because of this, it's the only Alice in Wonderland Read-Along in which the Cheshire Cat isn't seen or mentioned. This edition, along future reprints, are also the very few (if not only) Read-Along books of Disney animated films to actually feature song lyrics.

The 1968 illustrations are replaced with stills from the film. The Cheshire Cat is also featured in one of the stills, but remains unmentioned, as this edition uses the same text and audio recording as the 1979 edition. A CD version (alongside the Sleeping Beauty Read-Along) was released in Japan in 1998 (lacking the narrator's introduction to the story and page-turn instructions).

The same 1979 text and 1990 stills are carried over, but the cassette contains an entirely new recording with a different cast including Roy Dotrice as narrator, Kat Cressida as Alice, Tress MacNeille as the Queen of Hearts, and Corey Burton voicing the other characters (as well as reprising his role as the White Rabbit and Mad Hatter from the 1979 version). The original 1951 film score is also utilized, replacing the Camarata Chorus instrumentals (even though their versions of "I'm Late" and "The Unbirthday Song" remain intact from the previous editions).
