- Castelfusano is an urban park in the comune of Rome. It divides the sea quarter of Ostia and the neighborhood of Casalpalocco. The castle and the park were founded in the 17th century by the Sacchetti family. Its vegetation consists mainly in a forest of colossal Maritime Pines and olm oaks (near the seaside). In the 18th century, the Sacchetti sold the property to the Chigi, who sold it in 1933 to the commune of Rome. In the park is still visible a stretch of the ancient Via Severiana. The park's vegetation was largely destroyed by arson in July 2000. (en)

D'origine ancienne, la Pinède couvre une superficie de 916 hectares et est située à cinq kilomètres au sud-est de l'embouchure du Tibre. Elle est le plus grand espace vert de Rome. - Il Parco urbano Pineta di Castel Fusano è un'area naturale protetta di 916 ettari situata nel territorio del comune di Roma e istituita nel 1980 dalla Regione Lazio. A partire dal 1996 fa parte della Riserva naturale statale Litorale Romano. L'area protetta include un'ampia pineta popolata da specie riconducibili alla macchia mediterranea e importanti siti di interesse storico-archeologico come la villa della Palombara, villa Chigi e i resti di un tratto della via Severiana. La pineta è divisa in due parti da via Cristoforo Colombo ed è delimitata a nord ovest dal canale dei Pescatori mentre a sud est confina con la Tenuta presidenziale di Castelporziano. (it)
