The T-34 was a medium tank used by the Soviets during World War II. The first model was equipped with a 76.2mm gun, while later modifications improved the turret and were equipped with an 85mm gun. It appears in every Call of Duty game set during World War II where the Red Army is presented, and Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

Call of Duty[]

In the original Call of Duty, two missions of the Russian campaign involve the player commanding a T-34-85 Medium Tank (mentioned in the level's introduction letter) and engaging German armor through open country and a bombed-out town. The in-game tank also had a hull mounted machine gun that automatically fired whenever there was infantry in front of the tank.

The tank is tasked with destroying Panzer tanks. One well aimed hit to the turret will usually knock out an enemy tank.

Call of Duty: United Offensive[]

In Call of Duty: United Offensive, the T-34-85 is the medium tank usable by the Russians. It again appears in the campaign and is used to take out German armor in the Eastern European countryside and destroyed villages. It is noteworthy that the machine gun is absent. This could be a mistake or intended; either as a challenge or to imply that there is a shortage of tank personnel. In the multiplayer it has a cannon and an SG-43 machine gun on its top. There is room for two players in the tank; one being the driver and the other manning the SG-43. The cannon has good accuracy and can hit targets at medium range. It's a well balanced tank that, while not too fast, will easily knock out enemies. Just remember to time the shots correctly.

Call of Duty: Finest Hour[]

In Call of Duty: Finest Hour the player commands a T-34 on four different levels. The turret of the tank features a machine gun. The aim on the T-34/76's gun is actually off by a few degrees, with the shell curving to the left of the crosshair, as seen at extremely long ranges.

Call of Duty: World at War[]

In Call of Duty: World at War, the T-34-85 is shown throughout the Russian campaign, except Vendetta.

There are loosely three types of T-34-85 appeared in the Russian campaign.

The most common T-34-85 first appeared in Their Land, Their Blood, where after Dimitri Petrenko was saved by Rezenov, he will walk out of the farmhouse and see a column of T-34 firing at the Germans in the distance. Near the end of level, Rezenov will climb onto a random T-34 and deliver a victory speech. The appearance of this type of T-34 does not have any special features (as the image on the right show), and will appear as friendly forces in the following levels.

The player will control a T-34 in the following level Blood and Iron where the co-axial machine gun has been replaced by a flamethrower, thus making it an OT-34-85, or a flame tank. This OT-34-85 is equipped with wire mesh stand-off screens intended to protect armor from HEAT warheads such as those fired by the German Panzerschreck, there are also two "24" and "УФА (Ufa)" white slogans located at the front and rear of the turret sides respectively.

In the mission Ring of Steel, several T-34s mouted with a MG will appear after the player left the train and supported the infantry attack. Their appearance is similar to those in multiplayer maps.

On certain multiplayer maps, the player can control T-34 tanks which can be manned by two people; one being the driver and the other being gunner for the mounted machine gun. The multiplayer T-34 uses an upgraded form of stand-off screen.

Call of Duty: World at War (DS)[]

The T-34/76 appears in the Soviet campaign in a few levels. In "Two Roads" it is used to blow up some rubble near the end. In "Promotion" the player takes control of the tank and battles Panzer III tanks. In "On the Run" a T-34/76 is called in by the player using binoculars to mark a building for destruction. While it succeeds in its mission, it is destroyed by a Panzerschreck. It's final appearance is in the "The Fall" and is called in to shoot a hole into a wall so the Russian troops can advance.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III[]

T-34s are found in the tank factory in Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies' map Gorod Krovi.

Call of Duty: WWII[]

T-34s are found in the Call of Duty: WWII's map Valkyrie and Stalingrad. They can also be seen in the introduction cinematic for the Nazi Zombies map The Shadowed Throne, which multiple of T-34s are moving towards Berlin with the Red Army.

Call of Duty: Vanguard[]

T-34s are found in the campaign missions Stalingrad and Lady Nightingale within Call of Duty: Vanguard. It is also seen in the multiplayer map Red Star and in the zombies map Der Anfang.
