Temple,(SSBB | SSBfWU | SSBU) also known as Hyrule Temple,(SSBM) is a recurring stage in the Super Smash Bros. series.
Features and overview[]
The stage is based on the Palaces from The Adventure of Link, first appearing in Super Smash Bros. Melee. It is one of the largest stages in the series. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, it is home to Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf. In addition, it is considered the impromptu home stage to Roy and Marth, even featuring an orchestrated version of the Fire Emblem theme as its alternative music. Its default song is a remixed version of the Palace theme from The Adventure of Link, although it will instead use the Overworld theme when fought in Adventure Mode due to the Palace theme being reserved for the Underground Maze in that instance.
Because of its size, the stage is usually banned from Super Smash Bros. tournaments. The Temple is also infamous due to the lower part of the stage that allows players with high percentages to hide themselves since the design of the area makes it hard for a fighter to be KO'd. It is referred to as the fight club area.
The stage appears again in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with enhanced graphics and more music.
