Hyrule Compendium Entry
Mighty Carp can be found swimming in the waters of the Akkala Highlands and Lanayru Great Spring. There is a compound in its liver that promotes muscle growth.[1] Like other carp, they can be exposed to Fire to become Roasted Carp or chilled by Ice to become Frozen Carp. Link can eat one to restore a Heart to his Life Gauge, but they can also be cooked into a dish that will increase the damage he deals when eaten.[1]
As is the case with other fish, Mighty Carp can be used to make a Fish Skewer, a Fish and Mushroom Skewer, and Salt-Grilled Fish. They also count towards seafood when making Fish Pie, Creamy Seafood Soup, Copious Fish Skewers, Glazed Seafood, Gourmet Meat and Seafood Fry, Meat and Seafood Fry, Monster Stew, Pepper Seafood, Prime Meat and Seafood Fry, Seafood Meunière, Seafood Rice Balls, and Steamed Fish.
