Monster Stews are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Location and Uses[]

Breath of the Wild[]

Monster Stews can be made by Cooking any meat, any seafood, and Monster Extract together in a Cooking Pot. Their default version can be made either by using seafood without status effects, such as Hyrule Bass or Sanke Carps, or by using seafood with contradictory effects. The Monster Extract used in this recipe causes the amount of Hearts healed to Link's Life Gauge to be random each time it's made. The same principle applies to the strength and duration of any status effects. These stews are known to be savory, despite the ingredients used.[1]

By using certain types of seafood or adding more ingredients, Link can create several variations of Monster Stew:

  • Enduring Monster Stew:[5] Made by using enduring ingredients. When eaten, they will completely restore and overfill Link's Stamina Wheel.[5]
  • Hasty Monster Stew:[6] Made by using hasty ingredients. Link can eat these stews to receive an increased movement speed.[6]
