Swordmarch is a region in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. It is the remains of the Mechonis's sword. Reaching Swordmarch is the party's primary goal, as it is the location of the City and their only clue to ending the war between Keves and Agnus.
Swordmarch houses the City until Chapter 6. Agnus Castle's Annihilator would be pointed at the City's location upon the sword, and fired upon it. However, the citizens were warned beforehand by Mio, and evacuated in time, relocating the City underneath Cadensia. Afterwards, a large hole, The Cavity, can be seen where the City once was. The sword remains standing with a large hole on the side of the hilt for the rest of the game.
