Submission declined on 3 November 2024 by Theroadislong (talk). This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. Declined by Theroadislong 29 days ago. |

- Comment: Well done on creating the draft, and it may potentially meet the relevant requirements (including WP:GNG, WP:NCORP) but presently it is not clear that it does. As other reviewers have noted, Wikipedia's basic requirement for entry is that the subject is notable. Essentially subjects are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject. To properly create such a draft page, please see the articles ‘Your First Article’, ‘Referencing for Beginners’ and ‘Easier Referencing for Beginners’. Please note that some of the references are not from sources that are considered reliable for establishing notability and should be removed (including blogs, company websites, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Spotify etc). The draft does not appear to show that the subject has any notability beyond the average coverage for similar institutions (see WP:ROTM). Also, if you have any connection to the subject, including being the subject (see WP:AUTOBIO) or being paid, you have a conflict of interest that you must declare on your Talk page (to see instructions on how to do this please click the link). Please familiarise yourself with these pages before amending the draft. If you feel you can meet these requirements, then please make the necessary amendments before resubmitting the page. It would help our volunteer reviewers by identifying, on the draft's talk page, the WP:THREE best sources that establish notability of the subject. It would also be helpful if you could please identify with specificity, exactly which criteria you believe the page meets (eg "I think the page now meets WP:NCORP criteria #3, because XXXXX"). Once you have implemented these suggestions, you may also wish to leave a note for me on my talk page and I would be happy to reassess. Cabrils (talk) 23:54, 31 October 2024 (UTC)

Stover School is is a co-educational, boarding and day independent school set in 64 acres of grounds on the edge of Dartmoor in Stover, Devon[1][2]. It currently caters for children aged 3 to 18[3]
History
[edit]Founded in 1932 by Mrs Joan Key (née Dence) as an all-girls school[4], boys were admitted to the prep school in 2002. The whole school became fully co-educational in 2012.[5]
Since the school's founding, it has been based in the Grade II* listed Stover House. Further expansion has included the construction of the Jubilee Hall in 1982, the Millennium building in 2001,[7] and a new science block in 2005.[8]
In 2024, plans were submitted for a new sports hall, two science labs, a home economics room, drama studio, art studios, 12 new classrooms, and new staff room[9].
Curriculum
[edit]Stover School offers a broad curriculum based on the National Curriculum[10] and exam results are above the national average[11] [12]. According to the Independent Schools Inspectorate, "The school is a happy and busy community where school leaders promote an inclusive, and supportive environment where pupils feel valued and are well cared for."[10]
The school inspection report goes on to state: "Pupils' creative and technological skills are well developed across all ages in a curriculum which includes music, drama, dance and art as well as food and nutrition and computer science."[10] The school has a strong tradition in music, with choirs, performances and inter-house competitions. Sports also play a significant role, with team sports like rugby and football, and individual sports such as athletics.[10] Stover also offers a variety of extra-curricular activities, including horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, robotics, combined cadet force[13], and chess[10][14].The school also hosts charity events [15].
