Wikidata is about data, but there ist no way to manipulate data in an automated way.
Here is an example: Heidesiedlung (Q110399035) is a human settlement that consists of four streets: Heidesiedlung, Badeteich I (Q110399053), Heidesiedlung, Badeteich II (Q110399060), Heidesiedlung, Badeteich III (Q110399070) and Heidesiedlung, Badeteich IV (Q110399104). The source tells the number of houses in each street. The source will be updated every year. How can I prepare the item of the settlement to sumarize automatically? --Maincomb (talk) 13:09, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Hello Maincomb, Wikidata:Requests for comment is probably not the best place for asking this type of question. Generally, Wikidata:Forum or Wikidata:Project chat are better suited for that.
- What you have in mind sounds like Help:Data type#Calculated property. These haven't been implemented yet and there's no active development at the moment. So currently the only possibility to address the issue at hand is by either using a bot (I don't know of one for this kind of task) or regularly manually updating the affected items. --Nw520 (talk) 14:12, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If there is no more active discussion, I think that we may close this request for comment. cc Nw520, Maincomb. PAC2 (talk) 05:44, 18 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
