Motivation
[edit]ELMCIP is an international database which lists electronic literature creators, critiques, teaching resources, and works. The database has been active for over two decades and is currently active and is the repository for verified and peer reviewed information about electronic literature. Peaceray (talk) 21:43, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
- Just a small correction: ELMCIP was started in 2010, so it has been active over one decade instead of two. HanAck (talk) 15:15, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]- Support Gamaliel (talk) 01:28, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
- This makes sense to me. Could we add Journal or would that also be publisher? LoveElectronicLiterature (talk) 04:14, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, journals are in the publisher content type in ELMCIP (as are magazines, newspapers, press) HanAck (talk) 15:13, 25 November 2023 (UTC)

- Support I added examples and missing property elements. AdamSeattle (talk) 05:31, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
- Support We discussed this yesterday at our meeting at the Center for Digital Narrative (/ELMCIP team) and we support this change to using one ELMCIP ID instead of four. HanAck (talk) 15:11, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
- Support I also support this, and confirm that the Center for Digital Narrative which hosts ELMCIP is supportive of this. We are excited to make our data more useful! Lijil (talk) 17:54, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Peaceray, Gamaliel, LoveElectronicLiterature, HanAck, Lijil: Done as ELMCIP ID (P12204). AdamSeattle (talk) 19:23, 5 December 2023 (UTC)

- We are ready to add all ELMCIP records to WikiData. We have finished matching all of the items in ELMCIP to WikiData. @Colin R Robinson has made a bot to add any missing statements for items which already exist in WikiData and the for items which do not exist in WikiData, the bot will create new items. The bot needs to be approved so that we can finally get started on actually adding the data. You can read the proposal here. Please add your support in the discussion, and if you see any issues, please let us know. I hope it's okay that I ping @Peaceray, Gamaliel, LoveElectronicLiterature, Ipigott, Rosiestep, AdamSeattle:, since you've been a great help with our WikiData efforts before.
