Group of stereoisomers

[edit]

Please do not merge items that have instance of (P31)group of stereoisomers (Q59199015) and instance of (P31)chemical compound (Q11173), i.e. Brilliant Black BN (Q420079) and tetrasodium 4-acetamido-5-hydroxy-6-[(E)-{7-sulfonato-4-[(E)-(4-sulfonatophenyl)diazenyl]-1-naphthyl}diazenyl]-1,7-naphthalenedisulfonate (Q75123017) as these two items describe two different concepts (which is clearly visible given e.g. different InChIs). More at Wikidata:WikiProject Chemistry/Guidelines. Wostr (talk) 20:27, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wostr, I merged the two items as there was a conflict shown for the CAS number of the two items, as they were using both the same CAS number, which would mean that they are identical. Regards --Bert (talk) 10:53, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It happens quite often that CAS number is assigned incorrectly. Just check the InChI and InChIKey, CAS number is a rather outdated way of identifying compounds. This CAS number seems to match neither Brilliant Black BN (Q420079) nor tetrasodium 4-acetamido-5-hydroxy-6-[(E)-{7-sulfonato-4-[(E)-(4-sulfonatophenyl)diazenyl]-1-naphthyl}diazenyl]-1,7-naphthalenedisulfonate (Q75123017) given the information provided by CAS Commons Chemistry. A few comments about your recent edits

[edit]

Hi,

Regards, Wostr (talk) 16:28, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Wostr: I changed the class as there is an error message for the identifier FL number. There it's stated that the class of 2,2-dimethylhexane (Q2813766) should not be 'type of chemical entity (Q113145171)' but 'chemical compound (Q11173)' or {{Q|Q15711994}'. If you think 'type of chemical entity (Q113145171)' is correct, you need to update this restriction in FL-Number regards Bert (talk) 16:44, 5 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
