I judge it as absolute nonsense to limit property instance of (P31) to human (Q5). Can s.o. describe by what this decision was driven? Khufu (Q161904) is the 2nd. pharaohs of Fourth Dynasty of Egypt (Q110559092). This is what he is. It is neither a title nor a position. As being so it is of lesser importance what made him being a human than all those political decisions he made. And of course WE value every Pharaoh being human. You will probably remember that people of their time valued him being divine instead - no offspring of his natural parents but of a god. Within their dynasty a Pharaoh has an ordinal number. (Sometimes not known) Of course within their family he has not. (if not talking of a genealogical no. in relation to a given offspring) This numbering has been invented in later ages. In his time a Pharaoh never would call himself a founder of a dynasty. He'd emphasize to legitimately follow his predecessor instead - with no regard of some offspring-ship. @Quesotiotyo: Can you readjust this please?
As a Pharaoh he replaced his predecessor. Of course he replaced the same predecessor within his dynasty as long as he was no founder of a dynasty. At least this should be entered correctly. --Vollbracht (talk) 00:18, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Vollbracht: May I suggest presenting your points at WD:Project chat or WD:Forum to solicit input from others? (Wikidata does not appear to have a WikiProject Ancient Egypt, alas) As I stated on my talk page, I moved the statements which you added to instance of (P31) to a different property in accordance with the policy of not using P31 for values other than Q5. I suppose it is possible that you could add demigod (Q466470) as a deprecated statement to reflect prior beliefs; definitely not sure about that though. I did not make any changes to anything involving predecessors or pharaoh numbering so I will not be able to help you there. We have many knowledgeable editors though and I am sure that you can find someone who will be able to assist you in modeling this data correctly.

- Just recognized: replaces (P1365) and replaced by (P1366) are in both cases the same, only in different order, so at least this WAS entered correctly. Vollbracht (talk) 05:31, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
