  • The concert of SYML in Montreal was amazing. Brian made it super special, being extremely generous with the crowd. The room was rather small (maybe 120 people), most of us sat on the floor, and it felt intimate, friendly, familiar... I didn't know Brian was so naturally good with people. He is charismatic, talented, actually super funny despite creating the saddest and most beautiful songs ! I'm extremely grateful I got to attend this show. I look forward to hearing his new songs and fortunately seeing him again perform live (I suspect it will be in a bigger room, which is totally deserved! I'm just glad I experienced him at the Ministère on May 2018 :). Thank you so much for sharing your talent with the world. I highly recommend people to see him live.

  • What a wonderful guy. He sings with such love and passion and you can really see how much effort he puts into his work. Furthermore, he is hands down the nicest performer I have ever seen on stage: holding a little Q&A, wanting to know more about his fans, being super down to earth, and here comes the best part: AFTER THE SHOW ENDED HE CAME TO THE MERCH STAND 'CAUSE HE WANTED TO MEET HIS AUDIENCE! If it hadn't been for my bloody train I would've told him all this in person. Well, maybe next time he visits the Netherlands. But, if until now you were doubting whether to go to one of his shows or not: PLEASE DO! Trust me, you do not want to miss a performance given by this ball of fluff that calls himself, very appropriately, SYML.

  • Blown away by the concert of SYML, that's the summery of the evening.

SYML mixed his beautiful and fragile songs like "Meant to stay hid","Connor", "Girl" and the new song "Flags" (emotions all over the place) with his more electronic upbeat songs like WDWGILY. The hits couldn't be left out so everything was there.

Some songs reminded me of Tamino, our Belgian pride, and James Blake.

I also want to point out the support act "Nathan Ball" which is one of the best support acts I ever saw. Beautiful and fragile songs all on his own. He silenced the public wiht his music, except for the applause which is not an obvious thing for a support act.

All in all one of the best concerts I've seen this year.

  • SYML was one of the best concerts I've been to in my life. Brian was really open with the audience and it felt very personal even though he was performing in front of a crown of like 150 people. The music was also super different song to song. There were the signature touches that made the songs SYML, but it wasn't repetitive or boring. He was also super nice and made time to meet everyone that wanted to after the show. He and Fleurie were just so genuine and kind and seemed honestly interested in their fans and I really appreciated it. Fantastic concert. Fantastic people. Highly recommend seeing SYML if you ever get the chance.

  • This was an amazing gig, SYML is a very talented musician with a beautiful voice. He really engaged with the audience and was open about his life and then took time to meet fans afterwards. The music was very slick and sounded incredible and he did a brilliant cover of Crowded House's 'Don't Dream it's Over'. Harrison Storm was also a brilliant support act, i'm happy to have discovered his music too!

  • It was an experience I will remember. Seeing Syml from the front row and watching him play the songs he believes in was breathtaking. I wish the performance was longer! I was kind of upset that I had to wait an hour and a half for him to come on after the doors opened, though. Still, I don't regret going to the show.
