Mine Cart Tunnel Throwdown is the 8th course of Episode 1 in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and its Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS ports of the same name. This level takes place in a cave. Captain Toad starts near a mine cart in which he must get on. He can throw Turnips while in the cart to get Super Gems, break POW Blocks, and defeat Para-Biddybuds.
This course also appears in the Nintendo Switch version's VR mode.
Super Gems[edit]
- Super Gem 1: Located behind the starting point. The player must turn around immediately and throw a Turnip at it to obtain it.
- Super Gem 2: Inside a group of blocks that can be broken using the nearby POW Block.
- Super Gem 3: On top of a moving tower of ? Blocks.

Luigi sighting[edit]
A hidden 8-bit Luigi can be seen on the last stone column before the large drop-down to the Power Star. (It can only be seen on the Wii U Gamepad.)
Pixel Toad[edit]
From the starting point, turning the camera around to the left and angling it up slightly will reveal Pixel Toad on the rock behind the minecart, where the first Super Gem is located.
