Kelly's draughtsmanship and calligraphy are always a treat, but I can find his writing to be a bit tedious and slow. The Pogo books tend to be a mixed bag, and this one is no exception.

Introduces little Toomey III ("jes' fine"). Another interlude with Mam'selle Hepzibah and a reluctant Pogo. Pogo unwillingly runs in another presidential election. Introduces Miz Groundchuck's newest girl, Honey Bunny Ducky Downy Sweetie Chicken Pie Li'l Everlovin' Jelly Bean, which I have always thought was a nice girl's name and I would have liked to name my daughter someday, if I'd ever had one.
