Ruby has simple wishes - get together with her long time crush and figure out what she is going to do with her life. But she lives in a world transformed by a deadly virus that is always lurking, just ready to claim another life. When she is exposed, Ruby risks all to try and find the cure hinted at in her late father's journals. She's accompanied by the taciturn Sam who turns out not to be who she thought he was. Lots of action and a bit timely in the face of Covid-19.
This is my first book by Bridget E. Baker. This book was a great read. It reminded me of a Breakfast club type of story. Young kids learning who they are an what they are capable of. Their strength as Individuals and as a whole. I would highly recommend and look forward to reading this authors next book.
