I started off the year with 5 Centimeters per Second and it's an immediate favorite. A poignant depiction of failed and lost love.

(edit, touchstone pointed at the film version)

I have read Joe the Barbarian which turned out to be a good book. Morrison dives again in the theme of folded realities but with a pop language more suitable for a bigger audience (different from the last time in The Filth). It shows again his wish of expanding his audience, like it happened with Happy!.
Sean Murphy's art is exquisite and intriguing with his strong brushes and thin lines, being almost hypnotic. Due to it this book would deserve a Black and White edition.
Thumbs up.

Happy new year all!

I read volume 2 of the Bombshells series and while I wasn't in love with it, it was entertaining enough that I picked up the third volume (but didn't read it yet).

I also read Little Red Wolf which was billed a graphic novel for kids, but it seemed more like a picture book to me than a comic.

Just raided the library and came back with a few titles that have been long on my wishlist: Lazarus, Vol. 2, The Unwritten, Vol. 9 (which I've been putting off because it's a crossover with Fables), Black Orchid, and Your Illustrated Guide to Becoming One With the Universe.

I have re-read The Airtight Garage in all his glorious B&W. Mœbius' art is varied and detailed in this classical story.

I read Black Hole, also Black and white. Great art. Intriguing story. Great setting.
