A good book but felt I felt I would have like it more if I were younger and into playing games, still a great story.

A thriller but told in a wonderful way as if it is just a novel. I really liked this, a bit slow in spots but well worth it.
This one kept my attention and had me reading well into the night. Very good.

You have to love a book where you cheer for the suspects!
Quite a decent story and the telling of it, just don't name the heroine Pip, sounds like a frivolous name.
the saddest book I have ever read, How wonderful that this child was able to go forward and have a life after this.
Excellent book, the part of the book I didn't like was when he was eating the carcass of the animals the wolves killed, made me want to throw up.
Such a sad and wonderful story, the book had such great flow. Historical fiction but based on real life events.
Held my breath all the way through this one, found the ending to be quite creepy though!!
Could not help but love this, based on Jeannette Walls' grandmother's story. Hard to imagine all of her trials and tribulations, but Jeannette brings it all to life, and I do have to make it a favorite.
I think I held my breath from start to finish reading this one.
Awesome story telling, loved this book, one of my favorites so far this year.
Found this book hard to get through as there was absolutely no character development at all, very hard to get into this one.

Excellent story, very good, although somewhat depressing.
The story revolves around the 1918 spanish flu in
Philadelphia. By far the best book so far this year.
Given al the wonderful reviews I have seen, I expected more character development. The book was well written and the story interesting, however I found the ending fell a little flat for me.
A follow up story of true stories of the victims/adoptees, inspired by Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate. The stories followed the sometimes illegal dealings of Georgina Tann in Tennessee, selling of children, stealing children also, from mothers who had no intention of giving up their children, not to mention so many deaths of numerous children in her care. I did find it heartbreaking to read.
The author wrote this story inspired by her own mother's spousal abuse. Such wonderful character development, a bit to sexual in parts, but a fantastic read.
The fictional wife of Jesus, Ana, did not keep my interest, and did not finish.
I came very close to abandoning this book about half way through because I disliked the mother so much. Glad I didn't as it turned out to be a wonderful read.
Based on the life of Belle Gunness, although quite disturbing at times, this book was so compelling and is certainly a favorite.
You can always count on Philippa Gregory to give you a good story. This story takes place in 1648, a long ways back, and has a few sidestories, so I'm anxious to read the follow up the Darktides.
There were so many twists and turns in this book, must say I really liked it, especially the ending.
Had to be a favorite due to the fact that it really drew me in and for its many twists and turns. So good but not really a big fan of the way she ended it.
I usually don't care for ghost stories, but they fit into this story very well. I did enjoy it very much!
Such a great story that took me over to Scotland and the Isle of Lewis.
