Here's the thing, I really like Billie Eilish, which is why I picked up this book when it was the daily deal on audible, but I truly think that this should be an audio/visual bundle rather than sold separately. You should also know going in that the visual copy is essentially a scrapbook of photos over Billie's life and career thus far and the audio is a commentary and anecdotes on those pictures from Billie and her parents.

Yes, the audible copy comes with a PDF copy of pictures, but it appears to be a limited selection which makes it difficult to follow along with the commentary which is already somewhat difficult to follow along with because there aren't really as many cues as you'd expect as to what photo is being referenced.

That being said, from reading some reviews after finishing, I think I got more out of listening than I would have out of the visual copy because you do get some interesting anecdotes. As a project, in its current state it does feel more like a money grab, and I think it could have been done in a much better way. ( )

This is a recording made by Billie while looking through photos used in her 2021 book. It is relaxed and very interesting. Anecdotes that were shared give a sense of the transition to fame from obscurity. I enjoyed the insights into Billie's interests and feelings about art, performance, and living loud. ( )

I love seeing the pictures of Billie and her family. I would have like to hear more about the pictures and her life, but she was a good storyteller through the lens. ( )
