This was such a great idea - should've been longer. 20 pages was not sufficient to tell this story. I still want to know whodunit. 3 1/2 stars ( )

What really did happen to Winn Bailey? I read the book twice and still don't know. Winn Bailey wakes up on a mattress in an empty pyramid-like room naked and alone. He doesn’t remember what's happened to him or his family. With no sense of time he's finally released into another room, the same as the other except this one has three doors with yellow lights over them. Prepared for a long wait winn sits drinking water when suddenly one of the lights over one of the doors turns green and out comes another Winn Bailey. What the…? The story gets your mind going, asking questions; a good read and a good little psychological thriller. ( )

A Twilight Zone story that would have made an excellent episode for the 1960's half hour TV show. Like those early shows, the ending was a shocker that left you contemplating the possibility before you focused on the absurdity of the ending scene. Society cannot function with individuals of a common mind. ( )

This story by Edward Gold turned out to be a great surprise! One might say it's a hidden gem, or a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Ha, see what I did there?

I asked to review this immediately after reading the title. It sounded so intriguing that I didn't even read the summary. I guess a big deal of why I liked it so much was because I went into it without knowing anything about it, except for the thought that obviously something had happened to someone called Winn Bailey.

I found the concept to be so interesting and after the ending all I wanted was more! It's a topic that you don't see that often. I love the mystery elements to it: definitely made me turn my electronic pages fast; I almost cut myself! Haha, I'm so funny.

This is definitely a story that leaves you thinking and plotting, which is something I love to do. So, I don't recommend this to people who like clear endings.

With that being said, I'd love to see another story set in this thrilling and mysterious world.

Very confusing story. It took a while to understand that they were clones. I feel the story might have been better if set further in the future and then have the characters look back to the first day. ( )

I was only sent a 50 page preview of this book, and it was so confusing that I felt it was nothing but a waste of time to read. I'm sorry, Mr Gold. But this isn't a winner. ( )

Kindle Unlimited but I get some thru LibraryThing where writers send out free copies to some that request it from a list and hope you review it. It was pretty short, which is not what my issue with it was. The science behind it is all wrong, and to keep from giving spoilers won't say, but after reading it google if it is possible {hint, it's NOT}, doesn't work that way. The general story telling was fine, but the 'science' behind it so wrong could only give it 4, but it did come with a free audio version read by the author and that's always nice for the visually impaired {me, for one, and listened to it afterwards, after my machine read it to me}.
