Carver's library as included here has been cataloged from several inventories found on Reel 66 of the microfilm edition "The Papers of George Washington Carver, 1864-1943." These include a "Catalogue of Laboratory Books of Dr. Carver," "Dr. Carver's Personal Library," and a separate list headed "Books in Dr. Carver's Collection," which is organized alphabetically by title rather than by subject and largely repeats the contents of the earlier lists, though with additions and with less bibliographic information. These additions have been added here with the tag "Alphabetical List."
