Recreates the childhood of the woman traditionally remembered as the maker of the first American flag, which was secretly presented to General George Washington in Philadelphia in 1776.

I enjoyed reading this book about a boy on the small island of Capri. I was really interested in the mystery and wanting to know what was in the cave. I liked the setting of a small island in a different country.

I adored this little book. It is interesting to know her backstory and how she was inspired by Philadelphia.

What a great book to read out loud to your kids.
