In some places, the tone gets a little self-helpy for my taste. That said, I still think Weber presents an interesting, Godly perspective on what manhood should look like. The older I get, the more shocked I become at just how far our culture has strayed from the clear, Biblical ideal.

Stu Weber wrote this book to paint a picture of men as tender warriors, both strong and sensitive. In Weber’s view, men’s strongest trait is their ability to stand strong in the face of whatever may come, so each chapter traces how a godly man can stand firm in a specific role.

I most appreciated Weber’s chapters on fatherhood and friendship.

Men weren't made to walk alone. We need a buddy, a fellow soldier, a mentor to walk beside us.

this was a great book, shows being a man is macho but yet caring, showing love for your brother is a great thing not to be avoided, while still having a close relationship with your wife and kids. we are all brothers in Christ and were meant not to face life alone.
