Average high school, scholastic fair graphic novel. The catch? Our main characters are BLACKENED and will mess anyone up that don't take them seriously. Yeah, this feels edgy and aimless. Not even the jokes are funny. I didn't enjoy it.

My Riot by Rick Spears is a fast paced, short, 80s/90s romp that brings all the angst and fun of the teenage years.

This was a very fun read that kept me hooked! The illustrations were also great! This coming of age tale is a great read for lovers of graphic novels.

Three out of five stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Oni Press for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

Absurdity at its finest- you can't help but feel drawn into the silliness of Deadpool befriending Bessie, the vampire cow. The storyline was quite enjoyable and is everything you would expect of the 4th wall breaking Merc with a mouth. I had actually never heard of Hell Cow before I saw this comic in HS, but apparently she has made several lists over time as one of Marvel's oddest characters. Witty, snarky, intriguing, and all around fun read- I think any Deadpool fan or even vampire fan looking for new content would enjoy this as a quick read. If you need to laugh at something obscure, this is the ticket.… (more)
