A girl (monster) seems jealous of the specialness of her friend, until she finds out that her friend is just as admiring of her. Great for pointing out how everyone has different strengths. Reminds me of the Olivia books in tone.

Grade 3-8. This is a great book for me when I'm a teacher especially dealing with middle schoolers who like gross-like stories such as burping and other "funny" noises at that age. This book is a cute story about a boy who is a burping champion until a new principle comes into play who cancels all fun things, the boys set out on an adventure to have their freedom back.

In this book a boy is assigned a pen pal from another planet and he is not excited about it. To get Clunk to stop writing hm he sends his sister up to him along with other things like old food. When Clunk says he doesn’t want his bossy sister either they bond and continue talking.

Alien pen pals are always fun, but I didn't think this one was amazing, either. I'm sure kids would love it for all the slimy alien stuff though, and the kid who sends his older sister to space.
