Dane’s Restraint is the fourth book in the Dume Ranch Series by J.J. Ranger. While is part of a series it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel. I chose this book because after reading the summery I was hooked. I had to see how it ended.
Sara is such a unique character. Her parents own a strip club, so you expect her to be more worldly than she was. She came across as a naive character. It is apparent that she has fooled a lot of people in the past, but Dane saw right through it.
Dane is a rugged, sexy cowboy. While he only wants a fling for the weekend, shortly after spending time with Sara he decides he wants to spend more time with her.
The chemistry between Dane and Sara is explosive. They are a great pair in and out of the bedroom. The sex was off the charts hot. I loved that at the end of the story they are talking dating and not marriage, so they can get to know each other better.
I would have liked to have seen this book longer than it was. I also would like to see Sara and Dane a few months or years later to see how they do. Overall, this was an enjoyable book. While I have not read the other books in the series, I will be picking them up to read.… (more)
