This book I found really disturbing. I don't enjoy incest stories and if I'm not mistaken, the protagonists are uncle and niece; not enjoyable. I found it creepy.
Hummingbirds and the middle east figure heavily as Fiddler once again sticks his nose where he's most apt to have it flattened... or in this case blown off.

The general tenor of this series continues to remind me of Robert B. Parker's Spenser books.
historical romance set in 1800's California. This one was about redwood (duh) logging, & a son's complicated relationship with his father.
