I am a fan of A.M. and their books. I love that they feature diverse characters. This book is the darkest and spiciest I have read from this husband/wife duo. I absolutely love this darker side that they are venturing into. I could not get enough of Penelope and Carter.

"I never expected to fall for you"

The way that Carter cared and talked Penelope through what he was doing is HOT. As if having Carter be in control was not enough, he cooks too. The more time that Penelope spent around Carter, the more she bloomed and cane out of her shell.

"It's a good thing I'm not a prince, nor a knight, Doll. I'm the dragon in this story"

I look forward to seeing more of A.M.'s darker side. This book is the chef's kiss!

"I will make you mine in every way possible"

Jasmine is the proud being the owner of Lighthouse Inn and how far she has come from her past but like any other human she questions her decisions and if they were the right ones at the time. Jasmine has many regrets from a past that she would love to forget but she can’t and now she has to make decisions for what is best for her daughter. Then Atlas enters her life and the inn she is shocked by seeing him again and doesn’t know how to handle things. Atlas is out to prove himself to his family and get the job he thinks he deserves along with the respect from his family, but at what cost? Both have secrets that neither one want to divulge but when attraction becomes too much how much longer can they hold on to their secrets? And will these secrets destroy much more than they ever thought it would? Both characters hurt for different reasons and that twist towards the end I really did not see that coming. This is the first book I have read by the authors and I really enjoyed the ups and downs and the realistic issues that each character went through. When you get emotional reading about characters it really speaks to how well a book is written and how much emotion authors poor into their stories and this one really hit that.… (more)

Jude and Nova are ying and yang, but they work perfectly together. The witty banter filled with innuendos! The anticipation of these two hooking up was high, yet so worth it. Um, hello spicy goodness! Jude can take me anytime.

Jude may be a Navy SEAL but don't discount Nova as she is one strong woman. She can fight as well.

I will miss the Emerson siblings. This family shares a close-knit bond with one another. I feel like I am an honorary member of this family. This is all thanks to A.M. as every one of their books feature engaging characters with emotional stories that draw you in.… (more)

If you have not read a book from A.M., you are missing out. What I love about the books written by this author is the great character depth. Instantly, I emotionally connect with the characters from each book. This book for sure. I was not prepared to have my heart strings pulled and twisted in a good way by reading this book!

Elise is a sweetheart. In addition, to the fact she was so patient with Roman. He could be a bit rough around the edges. Yet, he is a great father to Ariel. She never had to doubt that her father loved her a lot.

The chemistry between Elise and roman was a slow building one. Yet, it was all worth it, once they actually crossed that line together. There were plenty of steamy intimate moments shared between these two.
