This Book is Banned is a fun way to educate students on how different things may be banned due to it being different, people may not like it, people may not believe in it, etc. Eventually everything gets banned, even the ending of the book is banned! I think this is a really great way to introduce students to banned books and teach them why certain people may feel entitled to ban different books. One thing that I had a hard time with was that this book was a bit chaotic. It is a very fast paced book and jumps from one topic to another very quickly. As I was reading it, I felt like some of the transitions did not make sense. I did appreciate the fun illustrations as well as the humor of this book. I would love to use this book during Banned Book Week in September. I would recommend this book for any elementary student!… (more)
