This is the quintessential story of love, loss, and redemption....
The two main characters of the story Chris Goodman and Devin Rainey share similar characteristics: Young, successful, and good looking. While those things are what make them the same, the share just as many characteristics that make them different. While Devin is very safe and keeps spontaneity reeled in, Chris lives in the moment and believes in exploring his options. After a chance meeting, they both recognize the sparks but never fully make the connection to remain in contact.
Chris' poor decision making eventually catches up with him and he can barely hold his head above water swimming in his consequences. The stars do align for him again, and he has the chance to enter Devin's (Dr. Rainey) life again, but this time as her patient. After the recognition from both parties, there is an interesting twist and turn of how to appropriately navigate their relationship interests while maintaining ethics and professionalism.
This book provides an interesting Christian perspective without overwhelming the reader with religion itself. It also tackles the concept of accepting responsibility for your actions in a great way and allows the reader to follow along the mountain and valley experiences often experienced throughout the course of people's lives. I would definitely recommend reading this book as well as finding the life lessons and seeing if you could apply them in being a better friend, employee, partner, etc.… (more)

"Still Not Satisfied" by S. A. Brown
My Rationalization....
I found this novel to be a well written read that covers its title 'Still Not Satisfied.' The storyline line was one that definitely held so true to what this main character [Chris Goodman] processed in using women and even his best friend. All that was left for Chris would be a thing called 'karma' and what it is like when it comes calling.
What will happen for Chris as it seems that he will not be able to escape all he has put out there for years? What had happened to him that caused him to be the way he was? Also from the read it seems like Chris wasn't the only one with problems...such as it was with Chris' psychiatrist Dr. Rainey. Now, to get all of this story you will have to pick up "Still Not Satisfied" to get the whole interesting story. There is a bit of Christian parts in this read yet not at all a read that I would call a preachy read.
It was quite interesting in how this author was able to give the reader quite a interesting, awesome and redeeming story that will keep you turning the pages with some well developed and defined characters in a well written and executed tantalizing story. I loved how by the end of the story that Chris was able to finally tune to 'an unlikely ally to assist him in his quest' for what he had never realized he may have had all along.… (more)

I thought this was a good Christian based fiction book. It was an easy to read book with some meaning behind it and some lessons to learn.

Jeanna and Rachel seem one in the same character. It would have been nice to see one of her friends as a person of reason that gives Devin good advice and not always referencing sex.
I was confused with the developing relationship between Devin and Chris. Devin wanted a personal relationship with Chris and to end the professional patient/client relationship but ended up counseling Chris anyway, especially in the throws of a heavy foreplay moment....what was that about!
The cemetery scene was written very well with prose and descriptions so rich and vivid. This is what brought healing to Chris and hopefully forgiveness.
Although this novel wasn’t up to par in my expectations, I would give the author a second chance. Writing has to grow along with experience.… (more)
