An armless knife thrower is determined to win a girl afraid of hands.

2.5/4 (Okay).

Short, fast and memorable. Apparently 14 minutes of footage are missing, and I'm sure it's a much better movie for it.

A vampire moves to London.

It's a reluctant B. I expected it to be of similar quality to Frankenstein, and was very disappointed. My wife, on the other hand, who expected it to be crap, was pleased. In either case, it's a reasonably entertaining 75 minutes. There's no incidental music, at all. If it had a score, I might have loved it. Instead, all of the movie's potentially suspenseful bits are ruined by awkward silence and play as funny.

A woman feigns affection for a circus dwarf.

Notable for being a weird movie, not for being a good movie. There are some okay scenes. Ford and Hyams are good together - although they're a very small part of the movie. It might have been an okay movie with better acting in the main roles.

Babylon is attacked by Persia, Jesus is crucified, the Huguenots are massacred, and the modern-day working class are oppressed.

It could have been a lot worse. It's clearly a very important movie. I didn't get anything out of it, though, other than historical appreciation.
