Great because the author explains Merton's mystic theology well, but also how mysticism correlated to all other aspects of Merton's faith. Great because it would serve as a good starting point for anyone interested in either Thomas Merton or Catholic mysticism. Great too because anyone with interest in religion, mysticism, peace movements or social critique can learn much from Merton and this book.
