I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again - NO ONE can write MM+ erotica like @roehorvat. Some call it smut. And this book has A LOT (and I mean A. LOT. with a capital L!) of explicit alpha/omega/heat/pregnancy s3x in it. But it’s not smut. While it’s explicit, it’s never just s3x - they are slowly but surely falling deeply & joyfully in love. And THAT’s what I love about Roe’s books - he balances super-hot erotica with a love story and the happiest of happy endings. I’m not a huge fan of MM fantasy O/A romance, but if Roe writes it, I love it.
Older, wealthy, alpha Richard employs the young, sensitive omega Carter to be his dog walker. When Carter approaches a heat without anyone to help him through it, already being attracted to Richard, Carter asks him. With plenty of passion, they eventually get their HEA. Minimal angst, and I love how it’s predictable in a great way. I also love how most of the characters aren’t portrayed as perfect. Carter has a rounded belly and soft edges, and Richard has self-doubt and fears of being too old (yes there’s a significant age gap). No chiseled abs and perfect bodies. I like that. It’s realistic. And accessible to all us mere mortals who aren’t perfect.

100% agreed! i don't know how he does it but it never feels repetitive either. truly one of the only erotica authors i can read.
