Really enjoyed this and would recommend, but I felt that it wasn’t written in the usual Karin Slaughter gruesome style! Although there were gory bits it wasn’t as in your face as normal!
I haven’t read these in order and jumping now from book 2 to book 9 and it hasn’t made any difference in the sense that there wasn’t a lot of underlying stories that I couldn’t get in to jumping straight to book x

Good to know that you can read it as a stand-alone. I haven't always felt that way. Nice review Danielle-Gemma!

I think it’s hard sometimes if they can’t be standalone because you don’t always want to commit to loads of books by an author you don’t know!
