So adorable! I loved everything about it...except for one thing. (Just like with EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING, interestingly enough.)

Awesome. E, E was one of my favorite books last year and I'm excited about the movie! I'm not a fan of the actor they cast as Olly (the big brother from Jurassic World), but I love who they cast as Madeline.
But also, how gorgeous is that cover?

Isn't Madeline's(from E,E) casting Dakota Fanning's younger sister? So excited to hear you take on this!
Jenn--Yeah, I agree about both those casting choices. Sara, Maddy will be played by Amandla Stenberg, who was Rue in THE HUNGER GAMES. Also the pick for pretty much every YA film lately, including THE DARKEST MINDS and THE HATE U GIVE as well.
I loved it. :) And I love the cover!

Hmm... I'm happy you enjoyed this, Wendy. I have an ARC somewhere on my bookshelf. I guess I should just pick it up and start reading, eh?
So when's your review, so we can find out what "except for one thing" is?? For me, E,E was great until the ending which I found to be a cop-out

This is exactly how I felt with E,E! The Sun does the same exact thing and it's so frustrating for me. Just so anti-climatic. I really needed more from both after all the stuff that happened. Nicola starts out with a bang of a story but the end is like a bomb that doesn't dare explode. Just at least one last GOOD interaction at the ending between the two characters in both books. With actual dialogue that lasts more than one to three words.

Lexxie--yes! Definitely.
Carl--it's so weird, because I was just trying to remember what that one thing was, hah. I know it was something significant because of my rating (because I enjoyed the book quite a bit), but I think I'll have to leaf through it again to refresh my memory.
FWIW, I'm with you on the ending on E, E. It would have been a 5 star book for me if that reveal hadn't happened--I thought it was so great that the book was about a girl who was sick and found that experience. Buuut that was the author's choice to make, I guess, so I don't judge her for it, though I personally found it disappointing.
Dyah--I had some issues with this one too, but I actually was fine with the ending of this book. Also surprised to hear you say you didn't find many good interactions between the characters or good dialogue in E,E or here--that's one of my favorite things about both! But she does spend a lot of time throwing in obstacles and the short chapters from alternating POVs that probably add to the sense of disconnect (especially in this one, as there are other POVs as well), so maybe that's what you're referring to?
And okay, in typing all that to you guys, now I remember what it was I didn't like, Carl! I gotta post my review in this next couple of weeks before I forget again.

Oh shoot! I meant one good interaction at the end of the book! No I loved everything else from the beginning with their relationship, it was just the end!
