really well done! I think there was a little bloat in this one, not every poem felt necessary and some felt redundant, so I do prefer Bestiary over threally well done! I think there was a little bloat in this one, not every poem felt necessary and some felt redundant, so I do prefer Bestiary over this collection, but you can totally see how the author's style has grown and evolved. the intense poems were nicely interspersed with love poems for her wife, which was a. cute, and b. a good use of form. this has made me want to read more poetry.
poetry is hard to sum up, but this was a strong, honest collection of work about abuse and generational trauma using nature, mythology, and the author's own family and experiences.
