This is the second book in the in the Scott Jericho series, and much like the first one, this book doesn't disappoint.
Scott is a messy character, and I love that we learn more about his past and how he's been dealing with the events of the previous book. I love when authors do that, instead of ignoring the possible impacts of what the characters have been through in the previous story.
This book is gripping and flows incredibly well, to leave you guessing until the end.
With a mixture of incredibly interesting characters, this is a thriller perfect if you want something you won't be able to put down...more

The book is about a cat who can't be bothered to do anything even though his friends invite him to do stuff
But really, he mentions how sometimes he just doesn't want to do stuff and feels like doing nothing. The cat is depressed but his friends still try to include him, until he says he just wants to do nothing, and then his friends decide to do nothing too

It's exactly what it says it is and it's strangely enchanting. I'm 26 and me and my mum played the game of 'what does this word mean' and it kept us entertained. There were some words in there that we didn't know, or words we had heard but weren't sure on the meaning.
Honestly, if it can keep some adults entertained for a while, kids are going to love the one word a day. I especially love the pronunciation. I grew up with a speech impediment and things like this would have helped so much....more

This book is short, full of beautiful illustrations, and laid out in an easy to read and understand way.
I especially love how most of the book is set out for really young readers, and then the last part is a recap but for older readers. Something for every age in this book, and I enjoyed it and learnt something as a 26 year old....more

I understand that this is for children, but I would have loved to have seen more on the emotional side. Maybe a scene where Joy is speaking to her brother and mainly asks if he is okay, maybe he could explain a little about how he feels. Even if it's something simple like 'the bullies make me feel sad. But the support of allies make me feel a little better.'
Overall, a really cute book with a good message behind it...more
