3.5 stars. This was for a book club I’m in. I rarely read science fiction. I didn’t think I would like this at all. However, I did enjoy some aspects.
3.5 stars. This was for a book club I’m in. I rarely read science fiction. I didn’t think I would like this at all. However, I did enjoy some aspects. I thought the fact that they had a computerized system with arms to control all this medical stuff while they were in a coma including rotating them to avoid bed sores was fascinating though a bit scary because it may someday replace real nurses. A lot was too technical and hard for me to understand. Part of the ending was satisfying and part of it was unsatisfying to me.

I enjoyed this book a lot. It covered many fascinating topics. I thought i knew a lot about the musical carousel, but I didn’t know it’s origin nor that the song “you’ll never walk alone” was used by a UK soccer team. I liked that each topic was only a few pages long, so you got the basic idea, but it wasn’t overwhelming.
