It's quite good. It gives one a good sense of the times, the enlightenment age, when most of the concepts that make up our founding documents were really coming of age.
In this book Mill speaks of the "marketplace of ideas" in which the common man's motivation for the truth always wins out, and uses that as one justification for giving everyone equal liberty.
It has been pointed out to me that this notion of the marketplace of ideas being predicated on everyone's search for truth has not been as successful as Mill once thought it would be, and I think the current state of our politics bears that out quite nicely.
That said, it's a good book full of many of the ideas that informed our founding fathers and their documents, and that speaks to its time both in content as well as tone. I think Mill had too much faith in the common man because we are not very motivated by common good and truth anymore, but I can't argue with his wish to believe those things about humanity in general....more

Between this and the other books and tutorials I've gone through for this software, in addition to the working through it that I did, I was able to discern that the software wasn't going to meet my needs. However, it's good software for a blog sort of website. Fairly easy to learn to use, too....more
